Professor Paula M.C. Swatman BEc, PGDipBus(BusSys), PhD, MAIS, MACM, MIEEE

Paula is Australia's foremost expert in eBusiness and eGovernment.  Her 1993 doctoral thesis was the first eBusiness thesis to be written in Australia - and only the second in the world.  Today, Paula specialises in organisational and societal change founded on teelcommunications-based information systems.

Paul read Computer Science and Information Systems then researched in Requirements Engineering Methodology for his PhD.  At Swinburne University, as a consequence of an unplanned but fortuitous co-location of his information systems research centre and a team of sociologists, he turned his attention to the social and organisational implications of information systems innovations.  He is an internationally recognised expert in socio-organisational analysis IS-mediated organisational change and the diffusion of socially pervasive ICT innovations.
